All prints are sold as limited editions of 10 per size. Once the run is sold out, no additional prints will be made in that size (and color profile when sold in multiple profiles such as color, black and white, or sepia). Prints are all sold in full frame (2:3 ratio) presentations, as shown in galleries, and are cropped to other ratios (8x10, 11x14) at my discretion when ordering (you will not receive a proof to view before images goes into production). Images are printed as either color or black & white as shown in galleries.
Each print is signed in pencil on the front in the white border. Prints are numbered, and dated on back. Every purchase includes a signed certificate of provenance and a signed bill of sale.
I print on luxurious, 100% cotton museum quality archival matte paper – Hahnemühle 100% α-cellulose Torchon paper.
The paper is 285 gsm, 92% whiteness, acid-free, lignin-free, and pH balanced. Hahnemühle is the industry leading standard for fine art printing. Torchon cotton paper is a particularly good choice for exceptional dynamic range, featuring rich, detailed blacks and shadows, soft graduated color transitions, and bright highlights and whites. It is highly tactile and velvety smooth, with a fully non-reflective calcium carbonite buffered finish. It has a smooth, delicately textured warm tone surface, and great tactile qualities – it feels wonderfully soft in your hands. Photographs printed on this paper come out perfectly sharp with outstanding smooth gradations, deep blacks, excellent details, fantastic pictorial depth, and natural, beautifully saturated colors.
My fine art prints are produced using the giclée print method. French for "sprayed ink," giclée provides exceptional archival preservation and vibrant dynamic range, rivaling silver-halide and gelatin processes typically found in museums and fine galleries worldwide. These inks in combination with the highest quality cotton paper guarantee outstanding color reproduction, smooth gradations and fantastic details both in the shadows and in the lights.
As a general rule, the finished size of your artwork (including mat and frame) should span a little more than half the width of the wall on which it sits. I strongly recommend placing only one or as few pieces as needed on any wall as larger pieces create visual impact.
I print artwork in standard 2:3 full-frame ratio to display the entire, uncropped, image. Special edition square prints are available and are prices along the longer edge. Special edition prints are non-returnable and non-refundable.
Preservation & Display
If framing is not selected through the studio, clients should expect to mat, frame, and glaze using UV protective glass or acrylic for proper preservation. Print quality guarantee is valid with documented archival preservation (acid-free / lignin-free mats, proper UV protective glazing, dust cover framing) within 60 days of receipt of print.
Prints include ½" white border for clean handling and easy framing. The border does not alter the total overall size of the finished print. Please be sure to take this into account when purchasing mats and frames. Please note that fine art prints are more sensitive than photographic paper to fingerprints and CANNOT get wet as the ink will blur and run. Prints should be displayed away from direct sunlight and cleaned with dry, cotton cloth only.
All framed prints include 2" cotton bright white acid-free cotton mat, mount board, non-glare clear Arcylic glazing, paper dust cover backing, signed certificate of provenance, assembled wire hanging, and bumper guards. Mouldings are 1" thick American-assembled wood frames. All purchases include signed certificate of authenticity and bill of sale.
From the time you place your order to the time I place the packaged print in the mail, a few things happen. This whole process takes approximately 7-10 business days. Framing takes approximately 3-4 weeks. Once I have tracking information for your shipment, I will be in touch to let you know its on its way.
If you need prints produced and shipped faster, please contact me before making your order so I can do my best to help.
