I often seek models to take place in workshops, tutorials, and to test specific equipment, marketing, or creative efforts. This is an opportunity for me to work in a zero-pressure environment and for you to work with me in an no-obligation way.
// WHO CAN PARTICIPATE
ALL are welcome. I work with children who are standing securely on their own (about 1 year) through high school seniors and young adult models. No modeling experience is needed. I welcome people of all shapes, sizes, colors, and expressions. Please note that sometimes I seek models for specific wardrobe pieces / sizes. Please only inquire if your child genuinely wants to participate and takes direction well.
// WHAT'S REQUIRED
There is ABSOLUTELY NO PURCHASE REQUIRED and NO FEE to participate.
Upon deciding we're a fit, a FULLY REFUNDABLE $125 RESERVATION FEE is due to hold appointment dates. This amount simply guards against no shows and rescheduled appointments so that I can commit my time and resources effectively. This amount will be cheerfully refunded at the final appointment upon honoring all originally-scheduled appointments. There is absolutely NO pressure to obligation to purchase anything.
Typically, there are 3 appointments : the initial consultation, the portrait session, and the viewing appointment to select your complimentary print. All viewing appointments take place in-person in in South Lyon, MI.
// WHAT'S OFFERED IN RETURN
All participants receive a FREE portrait session that lasts anywhere from 20-40 minutes. The sessions often include wardrobe and creative planning. Additionally, participants will receive ONE FREE MATTED DESK PRINT (matted to 8x10) of choice with full artistry as thanks. The digital proof is available at extra charge and is not always available. I will present anywhere from 10-30 images for you to choose from. You will have the opportunity to select additional portraits, though there is no expectation or requirement to do so.
// HOW TO APPLY
To express interest in participating, please email and send your name and ONE (ONLY ONE!) full-body recent photo of your child to karen@karenlippowiths.com (the web site email form here does not allow for attachments but feel free to contact me and send your image separately).
Please name image file with the child's first and last name and PLEASE CLARIFY if your child's last name differs from parent name so I can be sure to match them up.
Once I hear from you, I will send a brief client intake form. If there is interest in working with your child, I will then invite you to an in-person consultation in South Lyon, MI to meet and discuss details of the project. If we're a fit, we will book a session at that time.
Please note that grandparents / other family members may submit to the inquiry, but a legal guardian must sign the model release at the time of booking and be present at the shoot for all models under 18. Models 18+ should be prepared to bring government-issued photo ID as proof of age.
